What a perfect session!!! :)
After a quick blast in the estuary I headed around to the seafront where
the wind was now 20-25 knots and the sea looking pretty mean. Neil was
setting up a 8.4m kite and someone else a 7m, so I quickly rigged my 5m
sail and wave board and got out there before they did. It was just perfect,
I was well powered up and able to work my way out through the big rough
surf and then blast up and down in the almost onshore winds and mad speeds,
launching into big jumps off the swells. As the wind was onshore I was able
to jump and ride was in both directions.
After a while I headed off towards the mouth of the estuary to see if I
could see Shem with his kite. I couldn't see him (although I now know that
he was further into the estuary somewhere), so I caried on up towards
Graveyards. I was having such a good time weaving in and out of the swells
and just feeling relaxed in the rough conditions with the sun shining, that
I decided to just cary on up towards Tywyn. I didn't get right up to Tywyn,
but got to about halfway betwen Graveyards and the town before turning
aroundand going on one mad long run back past Graveyards, across the mouth
of the estuary, past Ynyslas and all the way into Borth... Perfect.
Once back to the Golf Course Car Park I played around in the waves and just
had an amazing session..
Perfection.
